The Estate on the Halifax | Port Orange, Florida - Classic Vintage Wedding

If you're looking for a perfectly charming venue that exudes unique character, The Estate on the Halifax might just be your dream Florida wedding venue. Keep reading to see exactly what I mean!

I always arrive nice and early on a wedding day for like a gazillion reasons. If traffic is bad, my car were to break down, I were to get in an accident, etc., I still want to have plenty of time to make it to the wedding. I also love taking some time before the wedding coverage starts to walk around the venue, scout out where I'm planning to do portraits and having plenty of time to say hi and introduce myself to everyone.

I also want to make sure that I give myself plenty of time so I'm not rushing, stressing myself out and wasting my mental energy before the day even starts. I don't think many people realize just how much mental and physical energy go into photographing a wedding. Doing everything possible to ensure I'm in the right headspace to perform at my best is a must for me.

When we arrived to the Estate, I was blown away by how unique the grounds were. We spent some time walking around and getting a lay of the land before heading inside to capture some sweet getting ready moments.

Okay, if the staircase photo above hasn't convinced you to drop everything and run, not walk to book Estate on the Halifax as your venue, then please see below photos of the groomsmen getting ready space. Because it's on a freaking train!! Like, what??

It made for the coolest getting ready photos of the gentlemen.

Mallory and Cory wrote the sweetest letters to each other to be read on their day. I think this is such a lovely idea for couples that aren't having a first look. It allows you to be with the other person in a way before the walk down the aisle which will give you all the feels and hopefully calm some nerves as well.

Once everyone was dolled up, we took full advantage by taking some portraits of the guys and gals before the ceremony.

Can we talk about how the oak tree for the ceremony space makes for the most gorgeous and grandiose arch to say I do beneath? Not only is it beautiful, it's timeless.

My jaw dropped when I entered the reception space strung with a million twinkling lights. Just like the day had been, it was nothing short of perfection.
